Phil & Aly at Linlithgow Academy

Phil and Aly Linlithgow Folk Festival Association (LFFA) were delighted to have Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain as our headline act in September 2011.

Phil, former member of Silly Wizard and Relativity, renowned accordionist, pianist, whistle player, composer, arranger, TV presenter (“Scotland’s Music”) teamed up some years back with Aly Bain, Shetland fiddler and founder member of Boys of the Lough. Between them they have produced some truly memorable music and will have you howling with laughter at their repartee between tunes, the latter varying from lightning-fast reels to hauntingly beautiful slow airs. They will also be well-known to TV viewers for the Transatlantic Sessions series and the Hogmanay programmes. See also: www.philandaly.com

Matt McGinn Tribute Concert - 10th March 2012

The 2012 Matt McGinn Tribute Concert will be held on 10th March 2012. To keep you entertained until then, here is our very own Murdie Kennedy, with children from the Carmondean Folk Scene of Carmondean Primary School, performing 'Tony Capaldi'.
