Many members of the LFFA will know of the close connections between local “Folkies” and our friends from Guyancourt, our twin-town just outside Paris.    Some of them have attended our annual festival in recent years and performed under their chosen name of “The McFroggies”.

The main exchange takes place at Easter and from April 14th – 17th in 2017 a larger than usual group will be coming here to Linlithgow and District to be hosted by local families. They will take part in a programme of activities including a Seminar, a Saturday evening dinner and ceilidh, and a Sunday evening singaround.

Several of our very active LFFA personnel are involved including Murdoch and Martine, Neil and Grace, Trish and Ivor, and Christine and John.

Next year more hosting families are needed to accommodate the visitors and the Twinning Committee would love to hear from anyone who might be interested in hosting visitors for these 3 nights and joining us in a weekend of companionship and fun which does so much to foster the true spirit of “The Auld Alliance”.

If you might be interested or would like more details please do not hesitate to contact any of those mentioned above or myself at –
